RFID
RFID is everywhere at IOD. I love RFID, I think this is a great technology. I really wish to find and work on an RFID project (call!). Of course, there are some privacy issues, but I think RFID will grow as much as cell phones in the 90s.
All IOD rooms are equipped with RFID reader and all badges are equipped with a chip. I just find funny that the badge reader on the EXPO booths are still reading this 20th century barcode.
The great thing is that WebSphere RFID Information Center, your first brick to implement RFID is relying on IDS.
Side photos, from top to bottom: my badge, the back of my badge and Fred Ho under an RFID reader.
