1. CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF DB2 INNOVATION: DB2 MAGAZINE Q1, 2003
In 1983, a little IBM project landed in customers' hands in the form of Database 2 (DB2). And then it took off. Over the past 20 years, DB2 has soared into the top spot for transaction processing and achieved the world's first 10TB TPC-H benchmark for data warehousing. It has posted gains in market share in tough times and has become a crucial element in IBM's software strategy. Here's a look at how the innovations of the past 20 years have kept DB2 aloft, and how work underway continues to push it to new heights.

Highlights of the coverage include:
An anniversary message from Janet Perna, IBM Data Management Solutions general manager.

Pat Selinger, Don Haderle, and Don Chamberlin on the details of DB2's birth and their plans for its future.

Just answer the question correctly and fill out the online entry form for your chance to win. (Don't know the answer? Check the pull-out poster celebrating 20 years of DB2 included in most copies of the Quarter 1 2003 print issue of DB2 Magazine.) A drawing to determine the winner will take place February 14.
